THE RIGHT SIDE (operated by Baptistes Corporation, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France, RCS Paris 103 880 597) is the controller of the personal data collected through https://the-rightside.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, with whom we share it, and your rights. For any privacy question: contact@the-rightside.com.
1. DATA WE COLLECT
Order and contact data: name, shipping and billing address, e-mail address, phone number (optional), items purchased.
Payment data: processed directly by our payment providers via Shopify Payments; we never see or store your full card details.
Browsing data: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
Marketing data: your e-mail address and preferences if you opt in to our newsletter or offers.
2. WHY WE USE YOUR DATA (AND LEGAL BASES UNDER THE GDPR)
To process and deliver your order, manage returns and provide customer support (performance of a contract).
To secure the site and prevent fraud (legitimate interest).
To send you marketing e-mails if you have opted in (consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link).
To measure and improve our site and advertising (consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest).
3. WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
Shopify (e-commerce platform and hosting), Printful (fulfilment partner: receives your name and shipping address to print and ship your order), payment providers, carriers, Klaviyo (e-mail marketing), and advertising platforms such as Meta (measurement and advertising, subject to your cookie consent where required). These providers process data on our behalf or as separate controllers, under appropriate data processing agreements.
4. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy framework.
5. RETENTION
Order data is kept for as long as required by tax and commercial law (in France, generally 10 years for accounting records). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or after a prolonged period of inactivity. Cookie lifetimes are described in the cookie settings.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
European Union and United Kingdom: you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in France the CNIL, in the UK the ICO, or the authority of your country of residence).
United States: depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, delete and correct your personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money; you can opt out of advertising cookies at any time.
Australia: you may request access to and correction of your personal information under the Privacy Act 1988, and complain to the OAIC.

7. COOKIES
We use essential cookies (cart, checkout, security) and, subject to your consent where required, analytics and advertising cookies (such as the Meta pixel). You can manage your preferences through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the latest version. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
